Hares report:

Great Call the Midwife themed hash from the hares this week. Each hound was asked to bring a doll of some sort to act a running buddy. All hounds obliged except Fred (Nobby) who would be punished later.

The trail set off from Wellworthys Social Club and wound around the local estate, making good use of the twisty-turny layout of the roads. Finding dust this week was straighforward as the hares had used a bag per blob. Still it made finding the route easy!

And so it was on to the Rodwell trail to the sailing club before winding around Old Castle Road, past Casa Del Boulders and on to Buxton Road. At the top of Rylands Lane, the hares regrouped next to a pre-stored bike. Far from being the Stermey Archer of old this must have been Phil McCavitiy's latest work vehicle. The last hare at each following regroup would take charge of the bike to aide weary legs.  Sister Monica Joan (H5N1) immediately took advantage and, apart from one small stint for Constable Noakes (COP), rode the remainder of the way.

A surprise G&T stop made for a welcome stop. The resultant heaviest baby competition was won by Fix it who clearly hadn't read the memo about not raising ones head above the parapet. From here it was on to the On Inn and the great views of Portland harbour (not the Commonwealth womens track and field event honestly...)

Down downs included the Freds (Nobby & Bookend) for forgetting dolls, Chummy (Boulders) for losing three babies, the love birds Dr Turner & Sister Bernadette (Slippery shitter & Arse) for making goo goo eyes at each other and the hares for creating a national flour shortage. Jimmy (Bones 1) ended up with the DD booby prize of the catheter and BOP -Bones was heard commenting that it would prove useful for future mess dinners.

Great effort by the hares. On on to the next trail!
