Hounds report: Burdened as I am with an IQ of 158, and having just ones retirement fund triple in a self managed portfolio, one cannot help but feel ambivilent about writing this run report. Oh well I suppose that I could pen something whilst waiting for The George to fire up the grill...

A great turnout for what promised to be a soggy hash. Although the rain didn't materialise during the trail, evidence of the deluge was... nowhere to be seen. All carefully chalked symbols had been washed to a delicate rose madder hue (Windsor & Newton Colour 580 in case anyone was wondering. A favourite of Titian about whom this ditty was penned:

While Titian was mixing rose madder,

His model reclined on a ladder.

Her position, to Titian,

Suggested co-ition,

So he climbed up the ladder

And had 'er.)

...All of which made the chalked symbols nigh on impossible to see. A vigilant hare kept the pack on track and all hares (under 20) busy with fish hooks.

The trail made the best use of the area in and around Dorchester Road with some clever less obvious routes thrown in.  A full loop of the Carlton Road circuit, was followed by some well trod snickery to Dorchester Road. From here it was on down Weyouth Bay Avenue towards the currently shiggy Lodmoor. Luckily the hares decided aginst excesive shig and from Wey Bay Avenue it was on back up Beaumont and Fernhill Avenues to Cranford Avenue. Waving a cheery hello to BOF and Organgrinder it was on on up School Lane to Dorchester Road. After winding through the maze of roads and alleys by the train station it was on down Ranelagh Rd and around B&Q, before pasing down Radipole Drive and over Jubilee bridge to the On Inn.

Somewhere in amongst all this trail Just Andrew tried to leap a bonfire an ended up with some very suspiscious staining to front and posterior. Rumours abounded that he had not fallen on his arse but the fright had got the better of him...

Altogether a swift trail and a finish of 50 minutes which was right on the button. It saved the hares a down down for excesive trail although not showboating on TV. Well done hares!

DDs: Amongst other... Nurse Baps & Ivor Stent - showboating on National News, Scrumpy and Nobby (& Bookend by proxy) - missing the trail, Just Andrew - falling, Just Elvis - excessive searching for dust.

On on to te next trail!
