Hares report:

After the allotted hares for this has dropped out like a 60's hippie, a live hash was arranged for a favourite venue of the Sub 60. Having a rough idea of a starting direction, the webmaster took first bag and headed off into the night... without his torch. Sadly the pre-planned start had quite a few dark paths so caution was exercised to prevent pre Grizzly injury.... at least at this stage!

The trail wound out of the back of the Royal Standard to Chapel  Lane before heading alongside the bypass toward Littlemoor. Conceiving upon a tricky route through the estate towards Dorchester Road, the webmaster got temporarily misguided. But with luck and good hashing karma in tow the webmaster found himself back on Littlemoor Road whereupon he headed towards Dorchester Road. Hitting upon a smart wheeze of setting the trail through the Broadwey ford the webmaster cracked on to lay one side before heading up and around to lay the other side with dry feet. Had this remained the case later events would have ended better..

Upon reaching the far side of the ford, and with Wet Patch and the Slippery one hot to heel, the webmaster wet his feet in the ford so accusations of not crossing th ford would be nipped in the bud. Upon all hashers reaching the far side of the ford, the two new hares of Slippery Shitter and Wet Patch disappeared in an unexpected direction - not toward the Upwey waters, but out into farm land. After the rest of the pack found the trail there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth with a general agreement that the two young hashers were not going to make it back to the On Inn in time.

During this part of the trail Rosie helped some hashers over an electric fence by standing on it and letting other cross. Sadly at the next fence the webmaster did the same forgetting that Rosie had shortcut the ford. Suffice it to say the result was shocking. Perfect Grizzly training!

After some more farting about on farm land the trail led back to the Broadwey ford before looping over Dorchester Road and eventually back to the pub. As an impromptu trail this one was a good 'un.

On on to the next most excellent trail!
